This is fantastic!! We moderns are constantly selling the ancestors short.
But every now and again, we find traces of ancient knowledge that rivals our own, such as the antikythera mechanism, as another example. Plus it's still debated how the ancients could move huge stones or chart the heavens with henges. And so on.
And now this! Why should not an Egyptian voyage have ended in Australia? For all we know, there were many voyages in the Indian Ocean, likely hugging coastlines and engaging in trade, etc., it's just this one kept a record.
I am very pleased to read this, and I hope the sites will be preserved.
Very interesting. One certainly worthy of much more investigation. But this here:
“The 1960’s Sydney university student theory is disputed by students who were at the university at the very time, saying this would never have happened as it undermines the university’s moral code of the day.”
This is pretty weak evidence against the university theory. Cmon.
“While our current mainstream view believes the first nations people of this land were isolated and had no interaction with the outside world, their own oral memories tell a different story. This includes one where one survivor of the storm stayed and lived on amidst the original peoples.”
If they had survived to enter the gene pool it would presumably be possible to see that from Australian First Nation DNA.

Yes, but students are not especially good at obeying moral codes, reporting their sins, or predicting the behaviour of their coursemates, even synchronously, let alone 60 years later. This is far from strong evidence against this idea. The Australian generation of the 60s included some very literate and irreverent people, exactly the sort of types who might etch hieroglyphs into cliff walls and let moss grow over them to confuse future historians.
Most unconventional theories about the origins of the pyramids are ultimately standing in a racist white belief that Africans couldn’t have done it on their own, and I do wonder slightly whether an element of that sort of thing might be at play here. Would it not be possible to carbon date the cliff face or some such?
yes it would be interesting to know the genetics of it. Although the assimilation process here has been very successful, i'm not sure it would be much use these days from all the mixing of races - at least on the east coast, not sure there would be many people without many many streams of lineage now. Not to mention the fact that whole tribes were wiped out in the colonial massacres, especially on the east coast where this site lies.
haha so true around university students although the area is a couple of hours north of sydney and in fairly thick bushland - not exactly a common area to visit. Even now, it's not the easiest site to find. There's also no evidence to support the university claim (just as there is little to refute it!)
and yes wouldn't it be great if some actual proper archeological and geological research could be done? Apparently the moss that grew upon it could have indicated much if properly researched. Yet that has recently been pressure cleaned off by the authorities.... why?
there are definitely plenty of people interested in it locally and a movement to protect the site (that needs support), its more the lack of proper investigation into the site that is missing.
So interesting….. the turtle/crocodile area certainly felt like a female area and also felt like something special took place there - healing makes sense 💛💛💛
Queen Kafré. A hieroglyph in this video shows a frog skeleton identical to that of Aboriginal’s paintings!!! Coincidence? 🤓

Fascinating!

ooh i just had to look up the antikythera mechanism and how fascinating!
Yes totally, and a very real possibility that it was a regular trading voyage.
so fascinating!
Thank you for sharing!

Nonetheless - very interesting.
Yes very true, very weak evidence. However there is just as little evidence to support the university theory either!
How extraordinary. Thank you.
This is interesting.

I would not be surprised if there is a lack of interest by the local people, if the hieroglyphics are found to be of foreign origin.

So interesting how just discovered that article with the croc writing as if to answer our inner queries of the turtle with too many segments 😂
Yes soooo interesting
Fascinating!
